ZOYA Gallery presents
The Zoya Gallery has an exposition of the Slovak and Czech art of the 20th century in Erdody Palace, Venturska1, Bratislava. During a short period of time, unique paintings made by well-known painters have been collected, namely the masterpieces of: Ladislav Mednyanszky, Ludovit Csordak, Gustav Mally, Martin Benka, Milos Alexander Bazovsky, Zolo Palugyay, Imrich Weiner – Kral, Cyprian Majernik, Jan Mudroch, Dezider Milly, or Ernest Zmeták.
A particular value is attached to the Kosice Modernism of the twenties and thirties of the 20th century including collected works of Konstantin Koväri, Konstantin Bauer, Anton Jasusch, Gejza Schiller, Frantisek Foltyn, and Julius Jakoby.
The gallery´s collection would not be complete without Koloman Sokol´s paintings which appeared on the art market after 1990. Vincent Hloznik´s oil paintings, temperas, as well as sculptures, have also earned a permanent place at the Zoya Gallery.
The Czech painting is represented by several art works made by Emil Filla, Anton Justitz, Jozef Capek, Jozef Sima, and Antonin Prochazka. The Slovak sculpture will be represented by art works made by Jozef Kostka, Rudolf Uher, Tibor Bartfay, Pavol Toth, Jozef Jankovic, Andrej Rudavsky, and Juraj Gavala.
